International Diversification

I have talked numerous times on this blog about the advantages of investing in broadly diversified portfolios, and that includes international opportunities as well.  Given the amount of geopolitical risk that’s been happening just this week with the fallout at the G-7 summit as well as the meetings with North Korea, it’s increasingly important to look outside of the US in order to stabilize returns.  Here’s the a video that details the importance of doing just that and why it’s a mistake to stick to US large stocks.

What are your thoughts?  Are you open to investing internationally or do you want to stay home with your portfolios?  I’d love to hear your take on this situation.
